Jumbo Jungle soft play centre Durham

Jumbo Jungle, a popular soft-play centre in Durham who wanted to enhance their offering of activities for small children by installing a mini indoor trampoline park. The new trampoline system had to fit in with their current offering of indoor activities and was paramount that it conformed to all commercial EU safety standards.
As well as safety requirements there were also specific size requirements as the trampolines were to fit into an already designated area of the playcentre.
The proposal
Our recommendation was for a Modular Trampoline System made up of 3 X 265m sq trampolines with side walkway and an end entrance with steps. This configuration measured 7.95m by 3.25m in total and so Jumbo Jungle were able to fit 3 good size trampolines into a relatively compact area. As the system has a high safety enclosure with tough commercial grade netting they were able to place the trampolines in close proximity to other attractions without any safety concerns.
All aspects of the trampoline are built to the highest EU safety standards with extra thick (60mm) padding between trampolines and along walkways. All enclosure poles were also covered in thick, high density foam to ensure maximum safety. An additonal safety feature to the system was an entrance door that opens inwards only, thus preventing any participants from being able to "jump out" of the safety enclosure.
The safety features and high user weights did not affect the bounce quality as extra long (8.5mm) super-springs were used in conjunction with our tough commercial grade jump mats to give users the best bounce possible.
