Maple Ridge SEN Primary School is a special school for children with moderate learning difficulties, many of their students have a diagnosis on the autism spectrum.
The school wanted to provide a trampoline for those learners with high sensory needs and it was felt that an in-ground trampoline would provide a safer environment and be easier to supervise and use than an above ground trampoline.

The school wanted to provide a trampoline for those learners with high sensory needs and it was felt that an in-ground trampoline would provide a safer environment and be easier to supervise and use than an above ground trampoline.
Maple Ridge school is fortunate enough to have a large playing field, which they were easily able to assign a corner of to accommodate their new In-ground trampoline.
The installation
We installed the trampoline adjacent to the current play equipment playground but in it’s own dedicated area, which was fenced off from other play equipment to aid supervision.
A canopy was subsequently installed, which meant that those children who benefited the most from rebounding could continue to do so throughout the year offering shade in the Summer and shelter in the Winter.
